1. Introduction

The terms of this document are subject to the National Credit Act (“NCA”) and Consumer Protection Act (“CPA”).

The website www.thebedstar.co.za belongs to and its owed by Masweneng Investments (Pty) Ltd -

The Bed Star reserves the right to change or modify the content of the website. Product description &  pricing are subject to change at any time without notification.

2. Products, price and availability

Pricing is in South African Rands and is inclusive of Value-Added-Tax (“VAT”). The agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.          

Pricing is subject to price changes.

Whereby quotes are requested this will be valid for 7 days.

If we are unable to fulfill an order due to whatever reason you will be notified and be entitled to a refund or offered alternative product.

3. Payment method

Payments may be made via cash, EFT, Credit card or any other recognized payment method.

When placing an order, the transaction details are presented to the bank for authorization.

If bank's authorization is not obtained, the order will not be despatched and can lead to cancellation.

Products not paid in full remains the property of The Bed Star until paid in full.

4. Delivery

Delivery will only take place once the full amount owing has been paid and it reflects in The Bed Star (Pty) Ltd. bank account, unless it’s a COD sale.

If we have a delivery backlog, please expect delays as we clear the backlog, this may be up to 5 working days if within 100km radius

Delivery will take place within 3 to 5 working days of placing your order. We only deliver in the Gauteng area at an additional charge between R1.00 to R550.00

Goods must be inspected by the customer for defects and reported to us within 5 days after delivery. 

Any damaged goods should be reported immediately on delivery. All goods must be returned with the original packaging within 7 days. Refunds will only be initiated once the goods are returned to The Bed Star.

5. Refund Policy

Refunds will be at the discretion of The Bed Star, based on condition of the returned Products and the merit of each refund request.

Amounts to be refunded will take place between 1-2 days after the product has been returned and the refund claim form has been completed.

No refunds on special or customized orders will be allowed.

Should you not be 100% satisfied with any of our product purchased at The Bed Star we will refund you in full after the client has returned the product back to our warehouse.

No refund will be approved to any customer on own collections and assembly after 7 days from collection date.

No refund will be made after 6 months period usage of the product as per the Consumer Protection Act.

6. Warranty

All goods carry an implied a one-year Guarantee as stipulated in the CPA.

Our goods carries between  10- 15 years of factory warranty for faulty workmanship and defective materials but subject to due care and maintenance,

Misuse, damaged by accident or negligence.

The warranty claim only applies to repairs; it does not apply to exchange of the product.

7. Lay buys

A 10 % non-refundable deposit of the value of the order is required. The deposit will be offset to complete the full payment of the order on completion.

The Lay Buy agreement period is a maximum of 6 months.

A monthly payment is required on all Lay Buys as per agreement.
